Off-peak hours

How to fill the off-peak hours of your padel club.

An empty court at five on a Tuesday cannot be sold the next day. Here is why cutting the price does not fill it, and what works instead.

What is an off-peak hour in a padel club

An off-peak hour is a slot where your courts are open and nobody is playing. Tuesday at five, Friday at midday, August mornings.

The court is set up, the lights are on and someone is at the desk. That hour's costs run whether anyone plays or not.

And it expires. At six, the five o'clock court can no longer be sold: that hour is not saved, does not accumulate and cannot be recovered. Nobody plays two hours tomorrow to make up for today.

How to find out which are your off-peak hours

Before fixing it you have to measure it, and that needs no software. Take a normal week — no bank holiday, no tournament — and mark on the booking sheet the slots that hardly ever fill.

Multiply: empty courts × hours a day × days a week × your court price. That is what leaves every week without appearing on any invoice.

An example with round numbers, nobody's real data: 3 courts × 2 slow hours × 5 days × €16 = €480 a week.

That number appears nowhere. That is why it hurts little and costs a lot: there is no invoice for the courts that were not rented.

Why cutting the price for everyone does not fill them

It is the first thing everyone tries, and it does two things at once: it brings in someone who was not coming, and it hands money back to everyone who was going to pay full price.

The risk is in the second group. If Tuesday at five is half price, the group that played Thursday at eight may move. Occupancy looks the same and the till drops: you fill the valley by emptying the peak, and you charge less in both.

And one effect is hard to undo. Once the club learns that waiting pays off, the list price stops being the price.

Ways to fill an off-peak hour, compared

All of them get used and all of them are good for something. Not all of them leave your margin where it was.

How it is triedWho it reachesWhat happens to your marginWhat gets measured
Cutting the price for everyone Anyone, including those who would have paid full price It drops in the hours you were already selling too Nothing: you do not know who came for the discount
Classes and academy in that slot People looking to learn, not to book a court Intact, and it builds loyalty The sign-ups, if you keep track of them
Internal leagues and tournaments Players who already come Intact Little, and it takes work to set up each time
Companies and schools in the morning People from outside the club Intact The agreement, while it lasts
Posters at the club and social media Whoever walks past or already follows you Intact Nothing
A message to your whole player base Everyone, whether they play at that hour or not Intact, but you spend your people's patience Little, and each send works less than the last
Targeted WhatsApp offers (Boosterpadel.ai) Only players of your club who fit that hour The discount stays in the empty hour; peak hours are untouched How many bookings each offer brought and how much came in

The first four are not ours to sell and they work. What the last one changes is who it reaches and what gets logged.

What the ones that work have in common

An off-peak hour fills when the message reaches the right person, where they already look, with a reason for that particular day.

  • Who: only players of your club who might be free at that hour. Not everyone.
  • Where: WhatsApp, which is where they already message you to ask if there is a court.
  • Within what limits: never mass messages, nothing between 10pm and 8am, nothing sent twice and an opt-out button in every message.

It can be done by hand. But that means someone checking the sheet every day and writing one by one. On a busy day at the desk it does not happen, and the valley only fills on the days you are watching.

How Boosterpadel.ai does it

The assistant lives in your club's WhatsApp and answers at any hour: it informs, leaves the booking ready for you to confirm with one button, and tells you when there is something to confirm.

  • It spots the hours when your courts sit empty.
  • You launch the offer from the panel, only to your club's players.
  • It logs how many bookings each offer brought and how much came in.
  • The day that worked, you repeat it.

And there is a second route for the same hour: MatchPilot, the open matches. It puts together players of the same level and schedule over WhatsApp, notifies everyone in real time and asks for confirmation 24 h and 3 h before. If someone drops out, the system releases their spot and looks for a replacement.

None of this touches your booking system. Yours stays where it is.

It runs today in two clubs in the Valencia region: Padel Indoor Ontinyent and Pàdel València Horta Nord.

What it costs

€99 a month and 25% only on the increase in off-peak hours: the new cash from courts that sit empty today, which the panel logs offer by offer. Bookings carry no commission.

2x Guarantee: if in 60 days the system does not generate at least double your fee, we refund your fees. Going live takes a week from your OK.

No fine print

Off-peak hours, answered.

An off-peak hour is a slot where the club's courts are open and nobody is playing: Tuesday afternoon, Friday midday, August mornings. The club's costs run all the same. And it cannot be sold the next day: an empty court is not saved for tomorrow.

Not the way people expect. If you cut the price for everyone, you also cut it for those who were going to pay full price, and the risk is that your regulars move their match to the cheap hour: you fill the valley by emptying the peak and charge less in both. You also teach the club to wait for the discount, and that is hard to undo.

By reaching only the club's own players who can play at that particular hour, over WhatsApp, with a reason for that day. With Boosterpadel.ai the system spots the empty hours, the club launches the offer from its panel, and it logs how many bookings it brought and how much came in. The day that worked gets repeated.

We do not publish an average percentage, because it depends on how many slow hours you have, on your price and on how many players are in your base. What does get measured in the panel is how many bookings each offer brought and how much came in. And there is a 2x Guarantee: if in 60 days the system does not generate at least double the fee, the fees are refunded.

No. Mass messages are never sent, nothing goes out between 10pm and 8am, nothing is sent twice and every message carries an opt-out button. Offers go only to the club's own players who fit that hour.

No. Boosterpadel.ai does not replace it or touch it: it works on top of the club's WhatsApp. The assistant leaves the booking ready and the club confirms it with one button. Going live takes a week from the OK.

Yes. MatchPilot puts together players of the same level and schedule over WhatsApp, notifies everyone in real time and asks for confirmation 24 h and 3 h before the match. If someone drops out, their spot is released and a replacement is found. Open matches at peak hours carry no commission.
